Women's procession to take center stage on Election Day weekend
The City of Lünen is introducing a new initiative, the "Walk & Talk" series, which aims to provide women and girls with an opportunity to make contacts and exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere. The series will premiere on Sunday, 14th September 2025, and take place four times throughout the year.
Organised by the Equal Opportunities and Women's Office (Gleichstellungs- und Frauenbüro) of the City of Lünen, the events are held monthly, typically on the second Sunday. The meetings will take place at 3 pm on the market square in front of the town hall in Lünen.
The first meeting of the series will take place on Sunday, 14th September 2025, with the meeting point being car park Cappenberger See (Wehrenboldstraße). On Sunday, 12th October 2025, the walk will commence from car park Cappenberger See, and on Sunday, 14th December 2025, the meeting point will be car park LünTec (Am Brambusch). The additional meeting on Sunday, 9th November 2025, will take place at car park REWE Horstmar (Baukelweg).
Participation in the "Walk & Talk" series is free, and no registration is required. The walks last approximately one to one and a half hours at a normal pace. The additional meetings for the "Walk & Talk" series in Lünen will take place outside of the city center and outside of the market square in front of the town hall.
