The Verdi Union Kicks Off a One-Day Strike at Frankfurt (Oder) Hospital

Employees at the clinic are urged to participate in a warning strike by Green - Union Leader Verdi Demands Work Stoppage

Listen up, team! The Verdi union is giving the Frankfurt (Oder) Hospital a taste of their sterling power in a one-day warning strike action. This event is set to go down on Wednesday, starting from the crack of dawn during the early shift and stretching all the way to midnight during the late shift. Get ready for a lively spectacle; they're planning a morning rally in front of the hospital's parking garage.

Verdi's not playin' around. They're pushing for a tasty 10% salary bump for their 1,250 non-medical employees and 160 apprentices, as well as boosting those trainee wages by an extra 200 euros a month and doling out some extra days off. The union's aiming to level the playing field compared to the public sector's wage agreement.

So far, those two initial rounds of wage negotiations didn't yield any pivotal deals, and they plan to regroup on May 20, 2025. But hey—that's what you get when you go up against a union as united as United Services Union!
