Teenager Injured in St. Petersburg Shopping Center Launcher Attack
A shocking incident occurred on October 6th in St. Petersburg's 'Nord' shopping center. A 15-year-old teenager fired a 'Signal Hunter' launcher at his 14-year-old peer, leaving the younger teen hospitalized with injuries. Both minors involved were detained and questioned in the presence of their parents.
The 14-year-old victim, a ninth-grader, suffered a contusion to the cheekbone area, facial abrasions, and pain syndrome. He was promptly hospitalized in stable condition. The incident took place in the food court of the shopping center. The launcher, a metal ball, and fingerprints were seized from the scene, with the launcher sent for examination. Authorities have opened an уголовное дело against the 15-year-old suspect under part 2 of article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, charging him with hooliganism committed with the use of weapons or objects used as weapons.
