Strict Closure Imposed on Hospital's Main Thoroughfare
In the heart of Hürth-Efferen, several roads are undergoing renovations and construction, causing some temporary changes for residents and commuters. Here's a breakdown of what to expect:
The construction site in Hürth-Efferen has been extended until approximately 26th May 2025. The local municipal construction company, or a contracted construction firm appointed by the city of Hürth, will be carrying out these works.
One of the affected streets is Krankenhausstraße. From 22nd April 2025 to 22nd May 2025, Krankenhausstraße, between "In den Höhnen" and Beselerstraße, will be fully closed for construction. However, during construction hours (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM), residents can reach their properties by car, except during the asphalt construction on 6th May 2025 and 7th May 2025.
The asphalt work in Krankenhausstraße will be divided into two sections: from "In den Höhnen" to Draf-Weg and from Draf-Weg to Beselerstraße. During the asphalt construction, vehicle access will not be possible.
Cyclists must dismount to access Draf-Weg due to the ongoing construction. Residents can still reach their homes on foot via the sidewalks during the construction.
Additionally, parts of Luxemburger Straße will undergo renovation in June 2023. The road surface renewal in Bachstraße is scheduled for May 2023. Both Luxemburger Straße and Bachstraße are among the three streets in Hürth-Efferen where road surfaces and manhole covers will be renewed.
