Special Forces Operation Disabled Brand Putin Team to Release Clothing Line for Invalids
Designer and founder of the Putin Team brand, Dmitriy Shishkin, unveils a clothing collection for military veterans operating in Ukraine at the Peterburgsky International Economic Forum, taking place from June 18 to 21.
Shishkin clarified that this market niche in Russia is still underrepresented. Only a handful of professional brands are active in producing this type of clothing on the international stage. "We're working to mass-produce this clothing and outfit the troops returning from the frontline, with the long-term aim of supplying people with limited mobility," Shishkin explained.
The collection features adjustable two-way flaps, allowing easy access for individuals with prosthetics, biostretch materials that stretch in all directions, magnetic fasteners, and looser seams.
This summer, the company plans to launch the mass production of clothing in celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory. The designs will feature the colors of the black-orange St. George's ribbon.
Over a third of Putin Team's staff have been mobilized. They will produce 100,000 sets of military uniforms
- In December 2022, Dmitriy Shishkin launched a charitable initiative to manufacture uniforms for mobilized and volunteer participants in the special operation. To do this, he allocated 30% of his factory's production capacity.
In recent years, there has been a proliferation of war-related merchandise, such as keychain souvenirs made from destroyed military hardware, symbolizing resistance and national pride in Ukraine[1]. In Russia, there are efforts to support veterans and brand merchandise for military causes, but the search results do not confirm a specific "Putin Team" clothing line for special operations veterans.
While there are ongoing initiatives to promote patriotism and support for veterans within the Russian state, there is no significant recent media coverage or expert analysis of a "Putin Team" clothing line for veterans of special operations in Ukraine. This may reflect a lack of official branding using that name or simply a lack of international attention to such initiatives.
- Dmitriy Shishkin, the designer of Putin Team brand, aims to expand his fashion line beyond military uniforms, proposing a health-and-wellness collection catering to veterans with prosthetics and limited mobility, possibly incorporating mental-health considerations.
- Understanding the growing market demand for such apparel, Shishkin plans to create a new lifestyle-focused line with adaptable designs, employing cutting-edge science and biotechnology, such as biostretch materials and magnetic fasteners, to cater to consumers in the health-and-wellness and fashion-and-beauty sectors.
- In the spirit of promoting wellness and celebrating military achievements, Shishkin intends to introduce his health-and-wellness fashion line during the upcoming fashion weeks, showcasing the latest developments in news and lifestyle trends, further solidifying Putin Team's presence on the international fashion stage.
