Russia Seeks Answers from Turkey Over Coxsackie Virus Outbreak at Resort Hotel

Russia's consumer protection agency has sought explanations from Turkey's Ministry of Health following an outbreak of the Coxsackie virus among Russian tourists at a Turkish hotel. The virus, which can cause fever and rash, has affected several holidaymakers, prompting concern from Russian authorities.

The agency is closely monitoring the situation and has reached out to Turkish counterparts through the World Health Organization (WHO) and Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) for more information. This is not the first time outbreaks of the Coxsackie virus have been recorded among foreign tourists in Turkey's resort regions.

Russian virologist Prof. Dr. Alexander Kekulé, cited by RT, has expressed concern about the outbreak. The Coxsackie virus is an acute infectious disease that can cause a range of symptoms, including fever and rash, and is typically spread through close contact with infected individuals or contaminated surfaces.

The Russian agency has demanded explanations from Turkey's Ministry of Health regarding the outbreak. It is crucial for both countries to collaborate and take necessary precautions to ensure the safety of tourists and prevent further spread of the virus.
