Microsoft's Dragon Copilot Now Available in Germany to Transform Healthcare Documentation
Microsoft's latest AI innovation, Microsoft 365 Copilot, is now widely accessible in Germany. This new tool combines speech recognition, ambient capabilities, and generative AI to transform healthcare documentation.
Microsoft 365 Copilot, an 'Ambient Scribe', creates structured medical notes with patient consent. It aims to reduce the documentation workload, allowing healthcare professionals to spend more time on direct patient care. The solution is a result of Microsoft 365 combining the speech recognition of Dragon Medical One with the ambient capabilities of Dragon Ambient eXperience (DAX) and generative AI.
Before its general release, Microsoft 365 Copilot underwent a rigorous testing phase in five clinics. These pilot clinics reported a significant reduction in documentation workload, enabling healthcare professionals to engage more in patient conversations. Meanwhile, Danish provider Corti is planning to evaluate its similar AI assistant in German hospitals with partners dht and MARIS Healthcare GmbH.
Microsoft 365 Copilot is now available in Germany, promising to streamline healthcare documentation and free up time for direct patient care. Its successful pilot phase in clinics indicates its potential to transform healthcare workflows. As for Zoom, while no official AI assistant for healthcare has been announced, the company's investment in KI-Technologien suggests that such a development could be on the horizon.
