A significant upgrade to healthcare facilities in Yekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk region, has been announced with the arrival of new medical equipment at Central City Hospital No. 20. The equipment, purchased by the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Sverdlovsk region, is part of the "Modernization of Primary Healthcare" national project's "Healthy Longevity" programme.

The new equipment includes modern specialized beds, stretchers, an endoscopic stand, a surgical table, and a C-arm type X-ray machine. This equipment, valued at approximately 40 million rubles, is designed to enhance patient care and make their transfer between departments safer.

The C-arm type X-ray machine, one of the most sought-after devices for X-ray examinations, is particularly noteworthy. Its unique design and functionality will allow it to be actively used during surgeries, providing a significant boost to the hospital's diagnostic capabilities.

The purchases for Central City Hospital No. 20 are part of a larger plan to modernize healthcare facilities across the Sverdlovsk region, with over 2.2 billion rubles allocated for the planned purchases of more than 1,900 units of medical equipment.

While specific details about the equipment to be purchased for each hospital have not been provided, it is clear that this initiative is a step towards improving healthcare services in the region. The "Healthy Longevity" programme, a key component of the national project, aims to extend the healthy life expectancy of Russian citizens.

In a recent report, "Oblastnaya Gazeta" highlighted the delivery of unique equipment for surgeries to the Revda Hospital, indicating that similar upgrades are being implemented across the region.

The deliveries for Central City Hospital No. 20 are expected to be completed by the end of 2025, with hospital staff anticipating the arrival of a new surgical table and a C-arm type X-ray machine in the near future.

As the healthcare landscape in Yekaterinburg and the Sverdlovsk region evolves, these equipment purchases mark a significant stride in the region's commitment to providing top-tier healthcare services. For more detailed and up-to-date information on this specific healthcare modernization programme, it is recommended to consult official regional government health department releases or federal health ministry communications focused on the Sverdlovsk region and the "Healthy Longevity" initiative.

The new medical equipment, including a C-arm type X-ray machine and a surgical table, will be utilized in Central City Hospital No. 20 to improve patient care, boost diagnostic capabilities, and contribute to the "Healthy Longevity" programme's goal of extending healthy life expectancy.
