The Biology Section at Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO), part of the University of California, San Diego, is a hub for marine biological research and education. This interdisciplinary unit is divided into three key components: the Integrative Oceanography Division (IOD), the Marine Biology Research Division (MBRD), and the Center for Marine Biotechnology and Biomedicine (CMBB).

The Biology Section's Business Office provides support in human resources, payroll, finance, and facilities management for the IOD, MBRD, and CMBB. Many of the business office staff also work for all three units.
