Malaysian authorities are still searching for a Pakistani suspect accused of committing child sexual assault cases in Shah Alam. The individual remains at large despite ongoing investigations.

A 36-year-old male teacher was arrested in Rembau, Malaysia, on July 6, following allegations of molesting a 16-year-old student with an intellectual disability. The incident is believed to have occurred on May 5, during a school activity, when the teacher allegedly massaged the student's legs and touched sensitive areas after she experienced leg pain following a cross-country run.

The student reported the incident to a classmate and later filed a complaint on June 30. The Rembau Police are treating the case as a serious matter, and the investigation is currently ongoing under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.

The suspect, whose identity remains undisclosed, has denied any involvement during initial investigations. It is worth noting that the student had previously been living in a children's shelter after experiencing sexual abuse by another individual.

The teacher was detained at the district police headquarters to assist in the investigation. A police report was made by the victim at 5:15 pm on the day before the arrest. However, no further updates have been provided on the current status of the suspect's detention or any charges filed against him.

The student, who is enrolled in the Integrated Special Education Programme (PPKI), initially confided in a friend about the incident and later informed another teacher on June 30. The alleged molestation occurred around 10.40 am.

The Rembau Police Chief, Supt Hasani Hussain, has urged anyone with information relevant to the case to come forward. He emphasised the importance of ensuring the safety and well-being of all students in the community.

As the investigation continues, the Rembau Police are working diligently to gather evidence and ensure justice is served. The public is reminded that the student's allegations have not yet been verified by the police, and they urge everyone to respect the privacy of those involved in the case.
