Kaiser Permanente's Flu Blitz Vaccinates 900 in Cerritos

Kaiser Permanente recently hosted a successful Flu Blitz event in Cerritos, Southern California. The event, attended by over 1,100 residents, saw more than 900 flu and COVID-19 vaccinations administered. Local leaders, including Cerritos Mayor Frank Aurelio, also received their flu shots at the event.

The event was held at the Cerritos Medical Offices and was supported by Kaiser Permanente Downey leaders, physicians, and community members. Dr. Sowmya Ananthanarayanan, from the Kaiser Permanente Cerritos Medical Offices, stressed the importance of annual flu shots for community health and safety.

The event was not just about vaccinations. In 2015, a local organization called 'The Ladies of Thunder' donated $15,000 and 'Boxes of Love' to the Veterans Resource Center in Cerritos, demonstrating the community's commitment to supporting its veterans.
