Innovative 'Art Dementia Community 2025' Exhibition Opens in Aschaffenburg
An innovative exhibition, 'Art Dementia Community 2025', is set to open at the Martinushaus in Aschaffenburg. This collaborative event, running from September 18th to October 16th, showcases artwork created by individuals living with dementia, offering insights into their experiences and the lives of their caregivers. The exhibition is a result of a joint effort between the Faculty of Design at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt, the Martinus Forum, and the Education Office of the City of Aschaffenburg. It displays artworks produced during a July and August project, accompanied by information about dementia and the support system around it. Visitors can explore the exhibition during specific hours: Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 12 PM and Monday to Thursday from 1 PM to 4 PM. Admission is free. Guided tours are available on September 25th and October 2nd and 7th, offering a deeper understanding of the artwork and the project's mission. The exhibition's opening reception takes place on Wednesday, September 17th at 5 PM, followed by a sneak peek into a documentary film about the project at 6 PM. 'Art Dementia Community 2025' aims to raise awareness about dementia, celebrate the creativity of those living with it, and foster a sense of community around this important issue.
