Informative gathering for private property owners: seminar focusing on social housing opportunities
In an effort to address the housing shortages and homelessness issues in the Herford district, a collaborative event has been scheduled for private landlords. The event, titled "An Information Event on Social Housing Mediation Projects and Measures," is set to take place on the 18th of September at 5 pm at the Small Train Station in Enger.
The Herford district, in collaboration with the Evangelical Diakoniestiftung Herford, the Westphalia-Lippe Regional Association (LWL), and other unnamed organisations as part of the state initiative "Finally a HOME!", aims to establish a district-wide network of emergency housing support.
The LWL will present its "Housing First" funding program, which offers grants for new construction, acquisition, and rental of housing units for private investors, welfare organisations, and member associations in the Herford district. Private landlords may be eligible for various incentives such as a rent guarantee, climate bonus, contribution towards investment costs, rental premium, renovation/sanitation subsidy, and support with tenancy agreements and follow-up care.
The event is open to all private landlords, and while no registration is required, advance registration would help the organisers with planning. The contact person for the event is Marie-Christin Paul, who can be reached at 05221 13 1431 or m.c.paul@ourwebsite.
