Home Medication Delivery Service Through MyChart: Avoid Physical Pickup of Prescriptions
UR Medicine has announced the launch of a new home delivery service for prescriptions, making it more convenient for patients to receive their medications. This service is available through UR Medicine's MyChart platform.
To access this service, users must first sign up for UR Medicine MyChart. The general process involves receiving an activation code from UR Medicine after a visit or via email/letter, visiting the UR Medicine MyChart online registration page or downloading the MyChart mobile app, and entering personal details such as date of birth and zip code. After creating a username and password for your MyChart account, you will need to verify your identity either with two-step verification or by answering security questions.
Once logged in, users can manage prescriptions and sign up for home delivery if available through the portal. Under Delivery Method, users can choose between "Pick up at a pharmacy" or "Deliver by UR Pharmacy Delivery." If you prefer home delivery, you can select this option and provide an address and special instructions for your prescription delivery.
Chief Pharmacy Officer Curt Haas, PharmD, expressed his happiness about providing this home delivery opportunity to patients, stating that it is an example of how UR Medicine is making it more convenient to receive care from home. UR Medicine leaders encourage patients to take advantage of this home delivery option.
If you are not yet a user of UR Pharmacy, you can sign up for their services to take advantage of the home delivery option through MyChart. Users can log in to MyChart and select Medications > Refill a Prescription to access the home delivery option. In most cases, deliveries are made within 24 hours.
MyChart is a platform for users to engage more actively with their health and healthcare providers. In addition to managing prescriptions and signing up for home delivery, MyChart allows users to message their providers, view test results, schedule appointments, pay bills, and more.
For those who have forgotten their MyChart password, instructions to reset it are available. If you need assistance with registration or have questions about the home delivery option, you can visit the official UR Medicine website, contact UR Medicine's MyChart support or patient services, or call (585) 602-2271 for help.
This home delivery benefit is exclusive to UR Medicine patients, and users can select free home delivery for prescriptions through UR Medicine MyChart. UR Medicine leaders hope that patients will take advantage of this convenient new service.
