Healthcare Professional in UK Reveals Intentional Humanitarian Catastrophe in Gaza and Alleged War Atrocities Against Children Committed by Israel

In the embattled Gaza Strip, a humanitarian disaster is unfolding as doctors report treating children with chronic malnutrition, dehydration, and infections brought on by starvation and exposure. The situation is dire, with daily resources like soap and antiseptic rare in the region.

The crisis extends beyond physical injuries. Healthcare workers often operate under extreme conditions with little to no resources, facing challenges such as flies, poor sanitation, and resistant bacteria on a daily basis. Many mothers in Gaza are unable to produce milk, leaving their newborns dangerously undernourished.

Pediatrician Dr. Aman Odeh described daily infant deaths due to preventable complications like dehydration, starvation, and infection. The health crisis is so severe that Dr. Mohammed Al-Jaghbeer, a pulmonary and critical care doctor from Ohio, witnessed fly maggots coming out of wounds.

The situation in Gaza is marked by an unprecedented targeting of civilians, especially children. Dr. Feroze Sidhwa, an American trauma surgeon, spent two weeks at the European Hospital in Khan Younis, Gaza, and nearly every day, he treated a young child with a gunshot wound to the head or chest. Dr. Mark Perlmutter, an orthopedic surgeon from North Carolina, treated multiple children with "high-velocity bullet wounds in both the head and chest."

Professor Nizam Mamode, a retired British transplant surgeon, recently returned from Gaza's Nasser Hospital with a new level of horror etched into his memory. He compared the situation in Gaza to his work in Rwanda during the genocide.

International governments and organizations, including major UN member states and the United Nations itself, have so far failed to take concrete investigative steps regarding reports from international health professionals about systematic child injuries in Gaza caused by Israeli snipers. Despite calls for protection and investigations from entities like UNICEF and human rights groups, no significant action has been taken.

The living conditions in Gaza are deplorable. Over one million people are crammed into these areas with only plastic sheeting for shelter, and medical facilities are crumbling under the strain. The so-called "safe zones" are neither safe nor humanitarian, according to Professor Mamode and IDC chair Sarah Champion.

Israeli forces have repeatedly used quadcopters, or small drones, to "pick off" survivors after bombings. This targeted violence has led to a mental health crisis, with many children in Gaza exhibiting signs of post-traumatic stress, with healthcare workers noting frequent instances of dissociation and extreme emotional distress. Some children in Gaza, having lost all family members, express suicidal thoughts.

The situation in Gaza is a humanitarian crisis of epic proportions. It is a crisis that demands immediate attention and action from the international community. The people of Gaza are suffering, and their cries for help must not be ignored.
