What You'll Need:- A pastry brush or barbecue basting brush- A Baker's dozen (13) ingredients- 30 minutes of your time (approx.)

Get Ready to Grill!

This sauce can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to two weeks. So, you can prepare it ahead of time and let it reach room temperature before using it.

The Lineup:- 2/3 cup maple syrup- 1/2 cup Dijon mustard- 1/4 cup whole-grain mustard- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar- 1 tablespoon soy sauce- 3 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts or bone-in, skin-on chicken pieces- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil- Kosher salt- Freshly ground black pepper

The Game Plan:

  1. Mix all sauce ingredients together and divide into two bowls for coating and serving.
  2. Prep your grill (gas or charcoal) to medium heat (around 350°F-450°F). If using chicken breasts, cut them in half. Pat chicken dry, oil, season, and grill until cooked through.
  3. Brush the sauce on the chicken every 5 minutes while cooking until the internal temperature reaches 160°F-165°F and no longer pink.
  4. Serve with the remaining sauce on the side.
