Ready to take on a new challenge, 43-year-old José Barcala steps into the hot seat as the new coach of FC Bayern Munich Women's football team. The Spanish maestro's arrival comes at a time when the club's long-serving coach, Alexander Straus, jumps ship to join Angel City FC in Los Angeles, USA. The contract signed with Bayern keeps Barcala on deck till June 2027.

Firing up the enthusiasm, Bianca Rech, FC Bayern's women's football director, stated, "We're over the moon to have bagged José Barcala as our new coach.
