Free Rollator Training Sessions for Seniors in Landkreis Fürth
Seniors living in and around Landkreis Fürth have an exciting opportunity to participate in free rollator training sessions designed to help them use their rollators safely and confidently. These sessions, part of a broader effort to support seniors in maintaining their independence and quality of life in old age, are organized by Landkreis Fürth in collaboration with partners such as GesundheitsregionPlus, AWO e.V., Sanitätshaus Orthopädie Müller, and senior/disabled representatives.
The training sessions, which are free of charge, include a safety-focused program with a parcours, safety tips, a check of the rollator devices by Sanitätshaus Orthopädie Müller, and guided rollator gymnastics led by an exercise instructor.
Dates and Locations
The rollator training sessions are scheduled as follows:
- Oberasbach: Friday, September 26, 2025, from 10:00 to 12:00 at the Wochenmarkt am Brunnen (market square by the fountain). In case of bad weather, the training is held at the "Treffpunkt Alte Post."
- Zirndorf: Friday, October 17, 2025, from 09:30 to 11:30 at the Parkplatz (parking lot) of the K&S Seniorenresidenz.
- Langenzenn: Two training sessions are planned in cooperation with the Seniorenrat and GesundheitsregionPlus, at the AWO Seniorenbetreuung and the Rathaus (town hall) courtyard. Exact dates for Langenzenn are not yet announced but expected in autumn 2025.
