Jack White's Family Feud: Ex-Wives Clash Amidst Allegations and Money Matters
Former spouses of Jack White engaged in a confrontation.
In the midst of Jack White's health battles - a fall, coma, stroke, and hospitalization - his ex-wife, Marie-Louise Gassen, and current spouse, Rafaella Nußbaum, engage in a heated dispute. The malicious core of the argument revolves around contact restrictions and, as is frequent, finance.
Music mogul Jack White, recognized for his hits like "Looking for Freedom," is currently nursing his injuries in the hospital. Unfortunately, his family life is anything but peaceful. Gassen, his ex-wife from the 1980s, accuses Nußbaum of barring contacts between White and his children in an interview with Bild newspaper: "Rafaella keeps Jack away from everyone. Our daughter Antonia can't reach him, neither can the other four kids from Jack's past marriages. Rafaella has forbidden it. The situation is a mess!" She laments that Antonia, now 41, hasn't seen her father in years and is deeply concerned.
White himself suffered a devastating fall, went into a coma, and was rushed to intensive care. Just as he was recovering, he suffered a stroke. The housekeeper called paramedics while his wife was out of town. Since then, the 84-year-old has been recuperating in the clinic, reportedly isolated from his family, according to Marie-Louise Gassen.
Limited Contact with Other Children Too?
White's other children - Frank and Pia from his marriage to Else Stärken, and Gloria and Ella from his marriage to Janine White - are said to have no contact with their father as well. Bild newspaper reports that a communication blockade was imposed in December 2024, affecting both family members and White himself.
No Truth in the Accusations?
Gassen also implicates Nußbaum of recklessly spending White's fortune. "She spends his money like there's no tomorrow, goes on vacations, and parties with friends. She spends around 30,000 to 50,000 euros a month, always chasing after his money!" Gassen even expresses fear that Nußbaum could now drain the musician's accounts, as she holds power of attorney.
Nußbaum, 38, denies the allegations and fires back: "Marie-Louise is a resentful, malicious woman who continually fabricates falsehoods about me." She asserts that Gassen has her own financial troubles and has impacted Antonia in the process.
