FDA Warns of Salmonella, Listeria in Darwin's Dog Food
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued an advisory due to Salmonella and Listeria Monocytogenes contamination in two lots of Darwin's Natural Pet Products BioLogics dog food. The affected products are Darwin's BioLogics All-Natural & Grain-Free Beef Recipe for Dogs, sold in 2-pound packages. The FDA recommends Arrow Reliance, the company responsible for the recall, to take immediate action.
The contaminated lots are 11895, manufactured on July 29, 2025, and 11826, manufactured on July 7, 2025. These products are packaged in 2-pound white and clear plastic packages with 'BioLogics All-Natural & Grain-Free' printed in orange lettering. The FDA discovered the contamination through follow-up testing on a consumer complaint. Despite notifying customers about the Listeria contamination, the manufacturer, Arrow Reliance, Inc., has not recalled the affected lots.
Pet owners are advised to check their dog food packages and discontinue use of the affected lots immediately. If you have any of the recalled products, contact Darwin's Natural Pet Products for further instructions. The FDA urges Arrow Reliance to initiate a recall to ensure the safety of pets and consumers.
