Air Crash in Afghanistan: Uncertainty Surrounds Surviving Crew Members

A private jet crash in the Afghan province of Badakhshan on January 21 has left many questions unanswered, particularly concerning the status of the surviving crew members.

The Falcon 10, which was performing a sanitary charter flight to Russia, carried six people, including a couple from Volgodonsk. Tragically, both spouses and the other passengers on board were killed in the crash. Among the survivors were Arkady Grachev, one of the pilots, and Doctor Pavel Popov.

Immediately following the air crash, both Grachev and Popov were treated at the local Sardar Mohammad Daud Khan hospital in Afghanistan. Grachev sustained multiple superficial injuries to his head, wrist, and hands, as well as numerous facial lacerations. Popov also had multiple lacerations.

Initially, the condition of the surviving crew members was assessed as stable. However, further details about their current health status have not been made public. Regrettably, the condition and whereabouts of the other surviving crew members remain unknown.

It is also worth noting that the Falcon 10 aircraft involved in the crash was not licensed for air transportation, according to the Investigative Committee of Russia.

The couple from Volgodonsk were the only passengers on the Falcon 10 who perished in the crash. The woman from the couple had been evacuated from Pattaya due to her serious illness prior to the flight.

Despite numerous searches, no authoritative sources have provided updates on the crew's health conditions or the licensing status of the Falcon 10 aircraft in this context. As the incident is recent and may not have received widespread coverage, further updates may emerge from official Afghan aviation authorities, international aviation regulators, or humanitarian organizations involved in the region.

At this time, there is no publicly available update on whether any crew from the Falcon 10 crash in Afghanistan have survived or their current health conditions, nor any information on the licensing status of this aircraft model in that context.
