District Foundation Boosts Emergency Care with €2,500 Donation
The District Foundation has shown its commitment to enhancing emergency care in the region by donating €2,500 to the Association for Emergency Medicine Fuerth e.V. (AGNF). The funds will support the 'Fuerth SHOCKS!' initiative, which aims to improve survival rates in emergency situations through the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and the 'Region of Life Savers' app.
Landrat Bernd Obst, the board chairman, presented the cheque on July 30, 2025. He stressed the importance of swift assistance in emergencies, highlighting the potential of AEDs to save lives. The 'Fuerth SHOCKS!' project, which operates under the AGNF, promotes the use of these devices and the 'Region of Life Savers' app to revive people in critical situations, thereby increasing their chances of survival.
Despite extensive searches, no information was found about Landrat Bernd Obst founding an organization under Sparkasse Fürth related to the 'Fuerth SHOCKS!' program. However, the District Foundation's donation underscores its dedication to strengthening the community's emergency response capabilities.
