Disregard the vaccination opportunities available

In the city of Astana, a meeting was held to address the pressing issue of child vaccination within the healthcare system. The event was jointly organized by the Public Health Department and the Public Fund "Special Holidays," attracting representatives from state bodies, medical institutions, and concerned parents.

At this gathering, participants delved into several aspects of immunization for children, pinpointing the current rate of vaccination coverage, strengthening trust in immunization, the role of healthcare professionals in informing parents, and ensuring vaccine accessibility and safety.

Of particular significance was the discussion about safeguarding children with unique medical needs. These children are especially vulnerable to vaccine-preventable infections, which can be difficult to treat, and vaccines serve as a preventive measure that shields the developing brain. When vaccination rates in society drop below 95%, there is a substantial risk of epidemics. The Pediatrician and Director of the Center for Catamnesis, Balzhan TATIBEKOVA, underscored the risk posed by such refusals, potentially affecting the broader population.

The organizers of the event highlighted the importance of open dialogue involving parents, doctors, and the general public.

Botagoz IGENBAYEVA, the organizer and Director of the Public Fund "Special Holidays," asserted that such discussions represent an essential phase toward mutual understanding. Society, she said, should go beyond merely voicing concerns but also partake in their resolution, hand-in-hand with the healthcare sector. Today, there persist numerous fears and myths surrounding vaccination. By fostering honest dialogues and cooperative efforts, it is possible to rectify this situation and rebuild trust among all stakeholders.

Sanzhar TASHIBAEV covered the event.

Such meetings are a crucial step towards fostering mutual understanding. Society, it is vital to note, should not only voice pressing questions but also collaborate on their solutions alongside the healthcare system. As it currently stands, fears and misconceptions abound regarding vaccinations. Only through genuine dialogue and working together can we transform this situation and rebuild trust in each other.

In light of the discussion about vaccination, Society should not only voice concerns but also collaborate on their solutions alongside the healthcare system, as fears and misconceptions regarding vaccinations can only be transformed through genuine dialogue and working together. Furthermore, recognizing the unique medical needs of children, vaccines serve as a crucial preventive measure that shields the developing brain, making science, health-and-wellness, and vaccination particularly relevant and important.
