Dhanuka Agritech Unveils Patient Waiting Area at AIIMS, New Delhi's Hospital Premises

On June 5, 2025, Dhanuka Agritech unveiled the Dhanuka Comfort Hub at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. This 68,800 square foot facility, constructed as part of Dhanuka Group's social responsibility initiative, aims to amplify comfort for patients and caregivers at this prestigious Indian medical institution. The hub features air conditioning, clean toilets, mobile charging stations, and seating for 1500. Designed to offer a respectable waiting space for the numerous patients and caregivers visiting AIIMS daily.

The unveiling ceremony was graced by Rekha Gupta, Chief Minister of Delhi, Prataprao Jadhav, Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of AYUSH, and Minister of State, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, in the presence of Dr. M. Srinivas, Director, AIIMS, New Delhi, Suresh Jain, National Organising Secretary, Bharat Vikas Parishad, and Hemant Jain, President, PHDCCI.

Following the inauguration, a one-day international Seminar titled 'Crop Chemicals and Cancer' took place. This seminar was jointly organized by Dhanuka Agritech Limited, AIIMS, and the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event attracted senior leadership from Dhanuka Group, including Dr. R.G. Agarwal, Chairman Emeritus, Dhanuka Agritech Limited, and Manish Dhanuka, Managing Director, Orchid Pharma.

The seminar featured renowned experts in the field who led insightful discussions on the impact of crop protection chemicals on health, focusing on regulatory, scientific, and ethical considerations. Highlights included keynote addresses by international experts like Dr. Angello Moretto, Dr. Peter D Loke, Dr. Michel Dourson, and Gyanendra Gongal.

Rekha Gupta, Chief Minister of Delhi, expressed her gratitude towards Dhanuka Group and Dr. R.G. Agarwal for this thoughtful contribution, stating, "This 1500-seat Comfort Hub, valued at Rs 6 crore, is not merely infrastructure; it's a beacon of compassion and comfort for families waiting in hope. AIIMS is a true symbol of hope, where people turn when all seems lost."

Prataprao Jadhav praised Dhanuka Group for their World Environment Day initiative, saying, "This Comfort Hub is a fantastic example of a CSR initiative. It will bring immense relief to patients and their families. Steps like these fortify our healthcare infrastructure, bringing India closer to our Prime Minister's vision of a progressive nation."

In his remarks, Dr. R.G. Agarwal articulated, "Dhanuka Group has always stood by our farmers. But our responsibility doesn't end there. When families wait at AIIMS with their hopes pinned on a cure, we want to offer them dignity, comfort, and care. This Hub is a testament to our commitment to serve the nation in ways that go beyond agriculture."

By way of this initiative, Dhanuka Group underscored its dedication to national well-being, demonstrating its willingness to invest in public health and infrastructure that benefits society directly. The event, combined with the 'Crop Chemicals and Cancer' seminar, emphasized Dhanuka's commitment to community health and its proactive approach to addressing critical health issues within the industry.

The seminar also served as a significant platform to dispel widespread misconceptions linking crop protection chemicals with cancer. Through scientific presentations and expert deliberations by national and international scientists, it became apparent that such chemicals, when employed responsibly and in adherence with regulatory standards, do not exhibit direct links to cancer.
