Comprehensive ME/CFS & Long-COVID Practice Guide Launched

A comprehensive practice guide for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) and Long-COVID/Post-COVID Syndrome has been launched. The guide, created by the German Society for ME/CFS, Charité Fatigue Centre, and experts, is designed to aid medical professionals in treating ME/CFS patients. It is available online and accessible to both professionals and the public.

The guide, developed by Dr. Judith W. Renz-Polster, author of the practical handbook for ME/CFS, in collaboration with the Charité Fatigue Centre, offers fundamental, application-oriented, and evidence-based information. It covers Clinical Presentation and Diagnosis, Diagnostic Approach, Therapeutic Management, Coding and Billing, and frequent comorbidities like orthostatic intolerance (OI) and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (PoTS).

The guide includes two PDF overviews for quick orientation and repetition in daily practice. It is primarily for medical professionals, with specific information like dosage accessible only to them. Regular updates are planned to keep the information timely and relevant.

The practice guide is available online at 'practice guide.our website'. Feedback, comments, and suggestions for changes are welcome at 'practice [email protected] website'. This resource aims to improve ME/CFS and Long-COVID/Post-COVID Syndrome patient treatment and care.
