City Council of Bucharest organizes blood donation event on July 21st
The Bucharest City Hall has announced a blood donation session scheduled for July 21, 2023, in collaboration with the Bucharest Blood Transfusion Center. This charitable event aims to collect a significant number of donations to help those in need.
The blood donation session will take place at the City Hall headquarters, located on Regina Elisabeta Boulevard. Interested participants are required to complete a registration form, which can be accessed online.
Medical staff from the Blood Transfusion Center will be present at the event to provide care and support for all donors. To be eligible, donors must meet certain criteria:
- Donors must be between 18 and 60 years old.
- Donors must weigh over 50 kg.
- Donors' vital signs should be within the following ranges: regular pulse rate between 60 and 100 beats per minute, and systolic blood pressure between 100 and 180 mmHg.
- Individuals with a medical history of hepatitis, tuberculosis, syphilis, epilepsy, diabetes, heart disease, cancer, or certain skin and neurological conditions are not eligible to donate.
- Individuals who have undergone surgery in the past six months, as well as pregnant, postpartum, or menstruating women, are also ineligible.
