Free Resilience Training for Children Aged 8-11 in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Rhön

Starting on August 13, 2025, the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Rhön is offering a unique opportunity for children aged 8 to 11. This ten-week training, taking place every Wednesday from 3:30 PM to 5 PM on the foal meadow in Hofbieber, is designed to help children build self-confidence, develop emotional strength, and discover new perspectives in dealing with challenges.

The training is not a therapeutic program, but a pedagogically accompanied field of experience that shows children new paths - gently, strengthening, and solidarity-based. It combines modern pedagogical concepts with experience-oriented methods in nature. Participants can expect a varied mix of trust-building rituals, cooperative games, creative nature projects, mindfulness exercises, and movement offers for stress management. Reflection rounds where feelings can be expressed are also part of the training.

The training is explicitly aimed at children in stressful life situations, regardless of whether the stress is due to family circumstances, separation experiences, school stress, or other invisible burdens. Vera Erb, one of the course leaders, emphasizes the importance of finding resources in every child and how nature helps to find calm, experience community, and rediscover one's own self.

Participation in the training is free, but places are limited, so early registration is recommended. For more information and registration, you can contact the Hessian Administrative Office of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Rhön or directly with course leader Vera Erb at 0177 5096608 or [email protected]. Additional details about the training can be found at www.biosphaerenreservat-rhoen.de.

It's worth noting that a search for similar events did not yield any results in the indexed public sources available. If you need further details, checking directly with official organizations connected to the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Rhön (such as local environmental education centers, community boards, or regional youth programs) may be necessary. They usually provide registration details, program benefits, and schedules for such initiatives.
